How gym software vendors bill you
Different vendors charge on different meters. Which one costs less depends on which meter your gym trips and on how each vendor defines an “active” member.
How do the pricing models differ?
How does plan-plus-processing pricing work?
PushPress: flat plan price, then a per-plan card and ACH rate. Your cost rises with dues volume. Math. Wodify and WellnessLiving also list flat monthly plan tiers, checked October 28, 2026; the price table shows what each publishes.
How do active-member brackets work?
Gymdesk, Zen Planner and TeamUp scale by active members/customers, and Kicksite (martial arts schools only) by active students. Their pages define “active” differently: Gymdesk excludes visitors, frozen or cancelled members and prospects; Zen Planner counts anyone with a membership or who attended in the past month (never prospects or staff); TeamUp counts customers who registered or purchased during the month.
Which vendors quote instead of publishing a price?
Glofox shows “Get a price quote”; Mindbody quotes every plan above its “starting at” entry price. Checked October 28, 2026: Hapana quotes its subscription per location but publishes its processing fees, and Momence shows “Let’s talk pricing”.
How much does Zen Planner cost?
Zen Planner lists Studio “starting at” $99/mo, Essentials “starting at” $198 and Ultimate “starting at” $348, and says pricing scales with active members. Member brackets and the payments rate were not captured, so these are software prices or floors, not complete monthly totals. Zen Planner pricing page, checked October 24, 2026.
